The Austin Air B402 Bedroom Machine Filter (1PK) is the dedicated replacement filter for all standard size Austin Air B402 Bedroom Machine air purifiers.
Engineered to provide the best filtration available in the Austin Air product line, this five-stage filter is specifically designed to help improve sleep quality by mitigating symptoms caused by poor indoor air.
The filter uses a sophisticated combination of materials:
Particulate Filtration: Medical-grade HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) material captures airborne particles.
Gas and Odor Absorption: A proprietary combination of a carbon/zeolite mixture and HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Absorption) material absorbs odors and gases in the air.
This system is certified to remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns and 95% of particles down to 0.1 microns.
For optimal performance, the filter should be replaced every 5 years, or sooner based on personal preference. Each genuine Austin Air filter cartridge includes the PERMAFILT pre-wrap filter. Select the filter color based on the color of your Austin Air purification unit.

Filtration Features:
- STAGE 1 – Pre-filter for large particles. Captures particles easily seen by the naked eye (e.g. dust, hair and pet dander)
- STAGE 2 – Medium Particle Pre-filter. Removes small to medium size particles (e.g. molds, spores and pollen)
- STAGE 3 – Over 780 cubic inches of Activated Carbon and Zeolite Removes chemicals, gases and odors
- STAGE 4 – 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA. Removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and 99% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns.
- STAGE 5 – Military Grade HEGA Carbon Cloth. HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Arrestance), providing an extremely large surface area for adsorption of chemicals, gases, viruses and bacteria
